History of Mannsville Full Gospel Assembly

Mannsville Full Gospel Assembly began in the home of Victor and Clara Mullin. Clara started a Sunday school in the living room of their home on Torrey Hill Road in the town of Ellisburg in 1950. She picked up children from all around the neighborhood and brought them to her home. After a few years adults started coming also. Their youngest son David was married to Betsy Corson in 1963. David and Betsey took over the farm and the church in 1965 and continued to have church on their front porch until 1970, when a new church was built next to the house.

The Organization at that time was called Apostolic Church of God. During the 80’s, the church hosted a Christian school named Apostolic Christian Academy. Many people attended and visited over the years and they had many good services and tent meetings on the farm.

In March of 1987 the church burned to the ground. A couple from the church Donated 3 acres of land on U.S. Route 11 south of Mannsville, where a new church building was constructed, and services began there in the fall of 1988. In 2006 a fellowship hall was added on to the back of the church. In 2008 a pavilion was added in the side yard. And we are currently adding a steeple to the church.
